As we are nearing the end of Olivia’s first grade year I find myself bewildered how much she has grown in ONE YEAR. Everything has changed, she’s grown so tall, her big girl teeth are in (as well as a big girl attitude at times), her handwriting, her reading…it’s just all so overwhelming and exciting. Kinda like the school project that came home a few weeks ago. Olivia was in charge of making a dolphin from nothing but items that we had in the house and then she had to write 5-7 sentences on what she learned about dolphins as she made it. How on earth are we going to make a dolphin with items we have here??? Have no fear, JAKE IS HERE!!!! My crafty husband did a bit of research and a paper towel holder, bits and pieces of a diet coke box, tape and some tissue paper later, we had the skeleton of what was going to become…FLIPPER.
Next step, paper mache, little water, little flour, some newspapers……

Even Jillian was excited about the project….
We have a DOLPHIN!!!![]()
I think it turned out pretty good…how about you?![]()

*I can only imagine the projects second grade will bring*
Special thanks to my husband, Jake. You seriously are THE BEST Dad in the whole world. I love your enthusiasm for all that life has to offer. Olivia, Jillian and I are lucky girls to have such an amazing man in our life. Thank you. I love you.
